Sound Bath FAQs

What is a sound bath?

A sound bath is a deeply relaxing experience where you’re invited to simply lie down, get comfortable, and be immersed in soothing sounds and vibrations from instruments such as crystal singing bowls, gongs, and chimes. There’s nothing you need to do,this is your time to pause, switch off from the outside world, and allow your mind and body to gently unwind.

Do I need any experience?

Not at all. Sound baths are suitable for everyone, whether it’s your first time or you’ve experienced them before. You don’t need any prior knowledge or practice, just come as you are and allow yourself to relax.

What might I feel during a session?

Everyone’s experience is different, which is part of the beauty of it. You may feel deeply relaxed, calm, or even sleepy. Some people notice gentle sensations in the body, others find their mind becomes quieter. Occasionally, emotions may come up, that’s completely normal too. Whatever your experience is, it’s right for you in that moment.

What should I bring?

I always recommend bringing anything that will help you feel as comfortable and supported as possible. This usually includes:

A blanket and pillow

Comfortable clothing

Water

The more comfortable you are, the more you can fully relax into the experience.

Is a sound bath suitable for everyone?

Sound baths are generally very safe and gentle, but there are a few things to be mindful of. If you are in your first trimester of pregnancy, have a sound-sensitive condition such as epilepsy, have a pacemaker, or are experiencing severe mental health challenges, it’s best to get in touch with me beforehand so we can talk through what’s right for you.

How often should I attend?

This really depends on what you need. Some people come regularly as part of their self-care routine, while others attend when they feel they need time to reset and recharge. Even a single session can have a powerful impact, but building it in regularly can really support your overall wellbeing.
