Why We Created the Wildflower Gatherings Retreats
Life can feel relentless at times. Many of us spend our days looking after everyone else, juggling work, family, endless to-do lists and constantly feeling like we should be doing more. We become so used to being busy that slowing down almost feels unfamiliar.
It's something I hear time and time again when I run wellbeing events.
"I didn't realise how much I needed this."
"I can't remember the last time I stopped."
"I've forgotten what it feels like to properly switch off."
Those conversations are the reason Wildflower Gatherings retreats were created.
More Than Just a Weekend Away
Our retreats aren't about escaping your life; they're about creating the space to reconnect with yourself.
For a few days, there are no meals to cook, no emails to answer, no laundry waiting at home and no pressure to be anything other than yourself. Whether you come alone or with a friend, you'll be welcomed into a relaxed and supportive environment where everything has been thoughtfully planned for you.
There's no expectation to join every activity or share more than you're comfortable with. Everything is an invitation. Some guests spend hours reading quietly with a cup of tea. Others enjoy chatting with new friends, taking part in creative activities or simply sitting in the garden listening to the birds.
A Different Kind of Wellbeing Retreat
When people think of wellbeing retreats, they often imagine packed schedules or early morning workouts. That isn't what you'll find here.
Our Wellbeing Retreat has been designed around rest rather than rushing.
Across the weekend you'll experience gentle guided meditations, restorative sound baths, creative workshops, empowerment activities and plenty of time to simply breathe. There are delicious homemade meals to enjoy, beautiful countryside surroundings and quiet moments that remind you what it feels like to slow down.
The goal isn't to leave exhausted from doing everything, it's to leave feeling calmer, lighter and more like yourself again.

Introducing Read, Rest & Connect
Books have always offered many of us a chance to escape, unwind and recharge.
So it felt only natural to create a retreat that combines the joy of reading with the nurturing atmosphere of a wellbeing retreat.
Read, Rest & Connect is exactly what it sounds like.
Imagine spending a weekend with cosy reading corners, homemade food, creative crafts, meaningful conversations, guided meditation and a deeply relaxing sound bath. There's plenty of time to curl up with your latest book, discover new authors, enjoy peaceful moments by the fire or connect with fellow book lovers.
For those who love reading but rarely find uninterrupted time to enjoy it, this retreat offers something wonderfully simple: permission to slow down.

Why Small Retreats Matter
One thing that makes Wildflower Gatherings different is that we intentionally keep our retreats small. Smaller groups create space for genuine connection, meaningful conversations and a relaxed atmosphere where everyone feels welcome.
Whether you're naturally sociable or prefer your own company, there's room for both.
Many guests arrive knowing no one at all and leave having made friendships that continue long after the retreat has ended.
Investing in Yourself
It can sometimes feel difficult to prioritise ourselves. We often tell ourselves we'll rest when work is quieter, when the children are older or when life becomes less busy. But for many of us, that perfect moment never comes.
Sometimes the most important thing we can do is give ourselves permission to stop waiting and make space for our own wellbeing. Not because we've earned it. Not because we've reached burnout. Simply because we matter too.
We'd Love to Welcome You
If you've been longing for a weekend where everything is taken care of, where you can slow down without guilt and simply enjoy being yourself, perhaps one of our Wildflower Gatherings retreats is exactly what you've been looking for.
Whether you're drawn to the peace of our wellbeing retreat or the cosy charm of Read, Rest & Connect, we'd love to welcome you. If you'd like to find out more, have any questions or reserve your place, get in touch. We'd be delighted to hear from you.
